Herd of Hope is bringing the country to the city on March 17th, 2018 at Bondi Beach! Join the herd and help us raise awareness for organ donation!
Whats it all about?
Herd of Hope is a charity who will be driving a herd of cattle accross Bondi beach in Sydney to raise awareness for organ donation on March 17th. The money raised for the event will go towards establishing regional transplant care nurses and providing therapy for families and recipients at the three months, post-transplant stage which is much needed for our rural communities.
How it started
'Herd of Hope' is the initiative founded by Megan McLoughlin - organ donor recipient who was given a second chance at life. After receiving a double transplant (kidney/pancreas) in 2010, Megan was set out on a mission to show Australia the positive effect organ and tissue donation has had in her life and how organ donation can save Australian lives.
Clipex is partnering with Herd of Hope in effort to raise awareness for organ transplants during the event. Clipex became involved with Herd of Hope when founder Megan McGloghlin reached out to Lyndon Olsson - an organ donor recipient to be one of the stockmen during the event. Brother of Ashley Olsson, when Herd of Hope required stockyards to hold the cattle during the event, we couldn't say no to the opportunity to be involved with a cause that as a family, we have personally been impacted by.
